About the role

This role involves partnering with the Welding department, Engineering, and Quality Control to fabricate various MKS products, focusing on custom products and modifications to customer specifications.

What you'll do

• Fabricate Custom Products and modify products to customer specifications.
• Plan, lay out, and perform welding on a variety of stainless-steel valves, gauges, and other components.
• Collaborate with engineers on custom product design for production.
• Complete fabrication and assembly welding from blueprints, verbal, and written instructions.
• Modify standard valves and components based on application and engineering specifications.

What you'll need

• 2+ years of related experience.
• TIG welding experience.
• Ability to utilize complicated drawings and specifications.
• Advanced mathematics skills.
• Proficiency with a variety of precision measuring instruments.
• Trade knowledge equivalent to training in a formal apprenticeship program.
• Ability to work second shift (4x10-hour days or 5x8-hour days).
