About the role
MACOM is seeking a Validation Engineer Intern in Newport Beach, CA to support testing of high-speed (GHz) ICs for optical media access and signal transport. Products are evaluated using bench-top lab equipment at the block, chip, and system levels prior to production.
What you'll do
- Assist senior validation engineers with the configuration and set-up of test equipment and hardware. - Provide support in programming and creating automation scripts for test automation. - Review product data sheets and design documentation to understand functional features. - Generate draft validation reports and data logs. - Coordinate final data reviews with senior validation engineers.
What you'll need
- Familiarity with programming and developing automation scripts. - Ability to read and interpret product data sheets and design documentation. - Knowledge of basic bench-top lab equipment configuration and hardware setup.
