About the role
Thin Film Process Engineers develop and sustain micro-fabrication technologies for Keysight's portfolio of passive RF devices including transmission lines, filters, resistors, capacitors, inductors, and resistive networks.
What you'll do
- Own one or more process areas: lithography, electroplating, dry etch, or wet etch.
- Monitor manufacturing processes and implement solutions to address process failures.
- Investigate product non-conformances and conduct root cause analyses.
- Provide the operations team with clear work instructions and technical support to manufacture products on time and on budget.
- Guide new thin film designs from conception through prototyping and into production.
- Develop new processes to improve yield, enhance capability, or streamline workflow, and qualify capital equipment.
What you'll need
- B.S. in Engineering, Materials Science, or equivalent technical discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in lithography, electroplating, dry etch, wet etch, deposition, electrical test, laser ablation, or saw separation.
- Ability to synthesize and analyze data from disparate sources to draw practical, data-driven conclusions.
- Authorization to access export-controlled items as a U.S. person under U.S. export control laws and regulations.
Nice to have
- Direct experience in legacy fab with manually operated tools and limited automation.
- Industry experience developing and sustaining thin film or related micro-fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with metrology and measurement techniques to characterize thin films.
