About the role
This test engineering internship is based in the High Performance Analog business group at Skyworks. The role focuses on characterization, validation, and production testing of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor devices.
What you'll do
- Support characterization, validation, and production testing of mixed-signal and analog semiconductor devices using Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Analyze wafer sort and final test data to identify yield trends, electrical failures, and opportunities for test optimization.
- Assist in debugging test hardware, probe cards, load boards, and test programs to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Execute bench-level electrical testing using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators to validate device performance.
- Develop Python, LabView, and Excel-based automation tools for data analysis, report generation, and test result tracking.
- Perform correlation studies between characterization and production test environments to ensure measurement accuracy and test consistency.
What you'll need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices, electronic circuits, and testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and signal generators.
Nice to have
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, wafer sort, or automated test equipment (ATE).
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB.
