About the role
As a Senior Test Engineer at MACOM, you will develop automated test systems, perform calibration and debug, and troubleshoot RF devices and modules.
What you'll do
- Develop automated test systems and stations for MACOM products. - Perform calibration, debug test systems, and test and troubleshoot RF devices and modules using automated and manual test stations. - Analyze test data, evaluate parametric data, and author formal reports and test procedures. - Partner with product engineering, yield engineering, and R&D to support new product introductions, device performance, and first pass qualification. - Participate in strategic planning for RF test tool selection and continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing. - Support and train test technicians on executing written test procedures.
What you'll need
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent discipline. - Minimum 5 years of experience across all aspects of RF devices, testing, test planning, and developing test stations. - Experience designing automated test systems for various types of hardware. - Theoretical understanding of RF test and measurement principles, along with working knowledge of RF components such as splitters, attenuators, amplifiers, and frequency converters. - Software scripting and programming experience writing, editing, and debugging in Python, LabVIEW, C, or C++. - Working knowledge of applied statistics (SPC/DOE), structured problem-solving (8D, 5 Whys), and statistical analysis packages such as JMP.
