About the role
MACOM is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support the development and testing of advanced MMIC devices and modules in San Diego, CA.
What you'll do
- Setup, calibrate, and maintain RF, microwave, and mm-wave test benches with equipment including network analyzers, power meters, and spectrum analyzers. - Test and tune MMIC and complex module circuits, prototypes, and test fixtures. - Run automated test programs and analyze test data. - Make recommendations for product, process, and print improvements. - Summarize test data in spreadsheets, reports, and PowerPoint slides.
What you'll need
- AS degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience. - Familiarity with RF measurements including S-parameters, noise figure, power/gain compression, phase and time delay, harmonics, and intermodulation distortion. - Experience with RF test equipment including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Noise Figure Meters, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, and Signal Generators. - Experience with computer-aided design software such as AutoCAD or DraftSight. - Ability to assemble and handle small items for a test environment, including microelectronic and solder assembly techniques. - Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident due to US export and ITAR regulations.

- Experience with AWR Microwave Office or ADS.
