About the role
Production Test Technician 2 performs manual and automatic testing on diode devices and manages soldering of surface mount and through-hole components on printed circuit boards under a microscope in an ESD protected area.
What you'll do
- Perform DC testing on diode devices and execute pass/fail testing using manual and automatic test configurations per test plans. - Perform go/no-go testing of basic electronic equipment following written and verbal test procedures using basic test equipment. - Solder surface mount and through-hole components, wire leads, and electrical connections on printed circuit boards in accordance with IPC-A-610 E class 2 and class 3 requirements. - Inspect electronic assemblies under a microscope, taking accurate measurements using measuring tools and gauging devices. - Execute wiring and connector placement for both solder and crimp types, as well as troubleshooting, cleaning, and preparation of products. - Read, understand, and follow blueprints, detail drawings, work instructions, and spec sheets while completing required documentation.
What you'll need
- 4 to 6 years of experience in manufacturing testing. - Ability to solder electrical connections in accordance with IPC-A-610 E class 2 and class 3 requirements. - Experience performing DC testing and setting up manual and automatic pass/fail test configurations. - Working knowledge of various soldering alloys, fluxes, and cleaning materials and procedures. - Ability to read and follow blueprints, detail drawings, spec sheets, and test plans. - U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual granted asylum or refugee status) due to ITAR regulations.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of DC measurements. - Knowledge of ESD procedures. - Computer skills, specifically SAP and MS Office.
