About the role
This role involves orchestrating breakthroughs in support of developing and releasing new products, leading cross-functional teams through successful project execution, and owning technical projects from initiation through delivery.
What you'll do
- Lead cross-functional teams to define sourcing strategies and plans for new products, including new supplier selection and evaluation.
- Serve as the single point of contact to the Supply Chain team to confirm supplier readiness prior to key product milestones.
- Manage the transition of new products from pilot production to volume production.
- Perform regular cost rollups and analyze product cost performance to achieve product cost targets and manage the product cost roadmap.
- Develop supplier selection processes for piece parts or outsourced assemblies and identify supply chain risks.
- Provide feedback to engineering on DFx (cost, manufacturability).
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience, or PhD with no professional experience.
- 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement or technical program management.
- Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating influence skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Fundamental understanding of should-cost or cost allocation.
Nice to have
- Experience in Semiconductor fabrication, Semiconductor Equipment Operations, or related industries.
- Knowledge of Program Management methods and Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures.
- Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and SAP.
- Ability to read and interpret product Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Direct experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods and commodities as related to cost structure.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools including MS Project, QuickBase, Office Timeline, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Change Management methodologies.
