Applied Materials is hiring a Supplier Engineer III Senior in Phoenix, AZ to evaluate technical requirements for Best Known Methods and define supplier parts cleaning solutions.
What you'll do
- Evaluate technical requirements of new and existing Best Known Methods, working with suppliers to define and recommend parts cleaning solutions to improve parts life, lead time, and risk mitigation. - Partner with Surface Tech and Quality teams to verify the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and align supplier expectations. - Participate in the supplier selection process to establish supply base performance in quality, cost, delivery, and technology. - Lead the supplier technical audit process, evaluate supplier capability and performance, and train other supplier engineers on audit procedures. - Collaborate with Quality teams on quality problem resolutions, incident management, and supplier corrective and preventive actions. - Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers and supply markets.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry, mechanical, materials, or related engineering disciplines. - 10-20 years of working experience in the semiconductor industry or parts manufacture/cleaning related fields. - Experience with new product introduction, Lean projects, or quality upgrades. - Ability to support significant domestic travel (>50%).

- Knowledge and experience with automation and AI.
