About the role

This role involves supervising material production within a designated work area, ensuring production targets are achieved and processes are continuously improved. The supervisor will manage teams, assess performance, and provide training and coaching to support operational goals.

What you'll do

• Supervise and schedule activities for a designated shift, maintaining records and informing management of progress and issues.
• Advise direct reports on administrative procedures, technical problems, and work priorities, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Ensure employee training completion and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain day-to-day records and progress reports.
• Monitor workflow, equipment, and resources, initiating cooperation within and between departments.
• Establish and foster a safety culture, ensuring compliance with safe work practices, OSHA and EPA regulations.

What you'll need

• Experience in supervising and scheduling activities.
• Ability to provide guidance on administrative procedures, technical problems, and work priorities.
• Strong time management and organizational skills to prioritize based on business needs.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills to optimize growth processes and improve procedures.
• General communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to interact with planners/buyers, peers, and management.
• Experience in interviewing, hiring, supervising, training, developing, motivating, and evaluating staff performance.
• Ability to monitor steps of the process and equipment, and call for repairs.
