About the role
The Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations is responsible for the efficient utilization of resources to ensure production requirements related to safety, quality, focus audits, cost, on-time delivery, and service are achieved. This position joins the Advanced Purity Solutions Division at the San Luis Obispo, CA facility.
What you'll do
- Supervise and coordinate production workers operating machines to manufacture parts and products, while coaching, onboarding, training, and conducting performance reviews. - Champion workplace safety initiatives, company safety programs, and 6S, while maintaining accurate time and production records. - Facilitate daily pass-down meetings between shifts and collaborate with schedulers using Gantt charts to balance schedules and maintain on-time shipping goals. - Lead Gemba walks and Kaizen activities to optimize production systems, eliminate operational waste, and drive cost reductions. - Execute quality improvements and customer corrective actions utilizing 8D problem-solving methodologies and root cause analysis. - Conduct audits to enforce established standards, monitor process adherence, and maintain accurate documentation of work orders and inventory transactions.
What you'll need
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. - Experience working with control systems documentation. - Demonstrated problem solving, interpersonal, and written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work a flexible schedule.

- Bachelor's degree. - Prior experience serving in a lead or supervisory role. - Continuous improvement experience.
