About the role
This role is for an Analog & Mixed-Signal Engineering Intern/Co-op to work on the development, analysis, verification, testing, and automation of advanced analog and mixed-signal technologies in semiconductor products.
What you'll do
- Support the design, analysis, verification, testing, and validation of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor technologies.
- Use industry-standard EDA/CAD tools to analyze, optimize, and verify circuit and layout designs.
- Develop and enhance software scripts, automation tools, and workflows using programming and scripting languages.
- Collect, organize, analyze, and present technical data, test results, and engineering findings.
- Investigate technical issues, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with engineers to develop solutions.
- Work with cross-functional and global engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
What you'll need
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field at a Canadian university.
- Strong interest or exposure to analog, mixed-signal, semiconductor, or integrated circuit design.
- Fundamental understanding of electronics, including transistors, resistors, capacitors, logic gates, and circuit analysis concepts.
- Familiarity or exposure to semiconductor devices, microelectronics, or VLSI design.
- Familiarity or exposure to transistor-level circuit analysis and layout.
- Programming or scripting in Python, C, C++, Perl, Tcl, SKILL, Shell scripting, or similar languages.
- Familiarity or exposure to laboratory testing and characterization using oscilloscopes, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, function generators, or related equipment.
- Familiarity or exposure to software development, automation, and data analysis.
