About the role
This role serves as the technical owner of end-to-end validation strategy, architecture, and execution across distributed farm environments for AMD Servers. You will architect, automate, and execute validation solutions to uncover critical issues early on AMD EPYC and AMD Instinct platforms.
What you'll do
- Design and evolve validation coverage strategy across distributed farm environments to maximize bug discovery and minimize customer escapes. - Develop validation content, tools, and scripts, along with procedural and technical methodology enhancements. - Assess customer escapes and translate findings into structured validation test plans to close coverage gaps and prevent recurrence. - Evaluate the customer impact of coverage gaps and mitigate technical risks prior to production. - Lead cross-functional alignment across multiple teams to ensure all server features are validated and optimized on schedule. - Debug issues identified during the bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. - Pre-silicon and post-silicon validation background, including hands-on system-level validation experience. - Experience operating as a validation architect across Client, SoC, or Server domains. - Hands-on knowledge of system architecture, technical debug, and validation strategy. - Programming and scripting experience with C/C++, Perl, Ruby, or Python.
