About the role
Apple is seeking an SoC Level Validation Engineer in Austin to develop bare-metal system-level software suites targeting corner-case hardware bugs. The role supports pre-silicon and post-silicon validation across Apple Silicon processors and system-on-chip designs.
What you'll do
- Write SoC and CPU directed and random tests. - Debug issues pre-silicon or post-silicon. - Develop and maintain system-level SW platforms. - Lead SW development and execution plans for SoC projects. - Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals. - Engage with other teams to develop validation strategies based on product needs.
What you'll need
- BS in EE or CS with 10+ years of experience. - Embedded programming experience.
Nice to have
- SOC and CPU knowledge covering micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupt and DMA, clock and power gating, and system-level understanding. - Experience with SoC bringup. - Proficiency as a C/C++ and Assembly language programmer. - Knowledge of hardware and software debug tools and methods. - Experience with scopes.
