About the role
Renesas Electronics is seeking an experienced Staff Product Engineer to lead the development, qualification, release, and sustaining of semiconductor power products. The role spans the full product lifecycle from silicon bring-up through high-volume production, supporting PMICs, smart power stages, and multi-phase regulator solutions.
What you'll do
- Own product engineering activities across the full lifecycle, including silicon bring-up, characterization, qualification, production release, and sustaining. - Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex product, test, and manufacturing issues. - Drive improvements in yield, test efficiency, product performance, and cost of quality. - Define and execute characterization and qualification strategies to ensure robust product releases. - Partner with design and test engineering teams to optimize DFT, test coverage, and correlation across bench, ATE, and system levels. - Analyze yield, parametric, and reliability data to identify trends and drive corrective actions.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline. - 8+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, test engineering, or related roles. - Strong semiconductor background with experience in power, analog, or mixed-signal products. - Deep understanding of the product lifecycle from NPI through sustaining. - Proven track record solving complex technical and yield-related issues. - Strong data analysis skills using tools such as JMP, Python, or MATLAB. - Hands-on experience with ATE, silicon characterization, and high-volume production environments.
