This role involves leading full-custom layout for complex Analog / Mixed-Signal IP blocks, with a focus on advanced FinFET nodes like TSMC 3nm and 5nm.
What you'll do
- Lead full-custom layout for complex Analog / Mixed-Signal IP blocks, including Bandgap references, LDOs, and Charge pumps.
- Ensure layout quality from floor-planning to tape-out, addressing device matching, symmetry, noise isolation, and substrate strategies.
- Collaborate with circuit designers to translate performance goals into layout strategies in noise-sensitive mixed-signal environments.
- Drive and close DRC, LVS, ERC, ANTENNA, and reliability checks.
- Provide technical guidance and design reviews for other layout engineers.
- Establish and document best-known methods (BKMs) for AMS layout across nodes and drive IP reuse.
What you'll need
- Strong experience in full-custom layout for Analog / Mixed-Signal IP blocks.
- Experience in advanced FinFET nodes such as TSMC 3nm, 5nm, including Fin quantization awareness and multi-fin strategies.
- Solid background in planar CMOS technologies (e.g., 40nm, 65nm, 90nm).
- Deep understanding of foundry PDKs, layout-dependent effects (LDEs), and process variability.
- Proficiency in DRC, LVS, ERC, ANTENNA, and reliability checks.
- Ability to review and address issues related to EM/IR, latch-up, and ESD window compliance.
