About the role
Qualcomm Multimedia Systems Group is seeking candidates for its camera firmware team in San Diego, CA. The team focuses on imaging system design and development for mobile devices across high and low tiers as well as adjacent markets.
What you'll do
- Execute embedded low-level camera driver design and development throughout the complete firmware life cycle. - Deliver end-to-end systems development, prototyping, and commercialization of new camera features and technologies. - Work across microcontroller architecture, RTOS, and ARM architectures to implement embedded firmware solutions. - Support bring-up and system integration using tools such as JTAG, ADB, and version control systems.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of relevant engineering experience (or Master's degree and 3+ years, or PhD and 2+ years). - Strong experience with C/C++ programming. - Experience with microcontroller architecture, RTOS, and/or ARM architecture. - Familiarity with Android, JTAG, ADB, and version control. - Strong background in digital signal processing and digital image processing.
Nice to have
- Experience with assembly programming, embedded software, and fixed-point implementation. - Experience with developing and implementing image processing algorithms. - 3-5 years of related industry experience.
