About the role
As a Staff Analog Design Engineer at Analog Devices, you will lead the design and development of complex analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits. Your work includes block and transistor-level design, simulation, and architecture development for sensor interfaces, data converters, multiplexers, active/passive filters, and power distribution systems.
What you'll do
- Lead architecture development and optimization for complex analog and mixed-signal ICs using industry-standard tools, providing technical direction to project teams.
- Design and develop analog and mixed-signal circuits including sensor interfaces, data converters, multiplexers, active/passive filters, and power distribution systems.
- Perform advanced block and transistor-level design, simulation, evaluation, and debugging across process, voltage, and temperature (PVT) variations.
- Collaborate with product definers, verification engineers, process engineers, test engineers, and application engineers to meet performance targets.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and review design implementations.
- Contribute to project proposals, staffing decisions, and budgeting forecasts impacting organizational objectives.
What you'll need
- Expert-level proficiency in analog circuit design and analysis, including amplifiers, filters, and data converters (ADC/DAC architectures).
- Advanced expertise in mixed-signal IC design and integrating analog/digital circuits with focus on signal integrity, noise mitigation, and power optimization.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CMOS circuit design principles and implementation techniques for integrated circuits.
- Advanced proficiency with simulation tools such as SPICE, MATLAB, and Cadence Design Suite for statistical validation and design verification.
- Deep understanding of physical IC layout considerations and experience guiding layout engineers on critical performance paths.
Nice to have
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in analog circuit design.
- Experience with successful IC tape-outs and first-pass silicon.
- Publication record or patents in analog/mixed-signal design.
