About the role
This role researches, designs, develops, and tests electronic components and systems for semiconductor device manufacturing at Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD.
What you'll do
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, including defining module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Evaluate the process flow from high-level designs through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use.
- Work on problems where analysis of situations or data requires reviewing a variety of factors.
- Apply engineering principles, best practices, and design techniques to the design, development, and testing of electronic components, circuit boards, processors, and chips.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role.
- One (1) year of experience in hardware verification, logic and circuit design, and RTL design or coding.
- One (1) year of experience with Verilog or VHDL, and System Verilog.
- One (1) year of experience with SOC or system architecture, CPU architecture, and CAD tools.
- One (1) year of experience with ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis) and Front-End EDA tools.
- One (1) year of experience in Unix or Linux environments, scripting with TCL, Perl, Ruby, and Python, Linux or Windows internals, and software debugging (macOS or Linux/Unix).
