About the role
This role defines, plans, and drives engineering projects and program plans across small to large-sized projects at AMD.
What you'll do
- Define, plan, and execute projects and program plans based on management and technical guidance across multiple engineering areas.
- Create and maintain project management artifacts including schedules, resource forecasts, risk logs, and issue logs.
- Identify action and mitigation plans for issues and risks that arise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate cross-development team communication, manage dependencies, and coordinate escalations for corrective actions.
- Collect, analyze, and publish work performance metrics through dashboards and recurring reporting.
- Apply knowledge of electronics, circuit boards, processors, chips, and engineering design principles to product development and testing.
What you'll need
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Engineering and Management, or a related field with 4 years of experience (or a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience).
- 4 years of technical program management and customer relationship management experience.
- 4 years of experience collaborating on risk mitigation and problem-solving across Engineering, Program/Project Management, Business Units, and Product Management.
- 4 years of experience using productivity and project tools including Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- 4 years of experience in Generative AI Program Management and Foundation AI or ML Model Development.
- 4 years of experience in Digital Transformation, Target Operating Model Design, Technology Strategy Advisory, and Forward Deployment Oversight.
