About the role
This role has overall ownership of new products and business cases for the IGBT product line and intelligent power modules (IPMs) within the IPD division. The portfolio covers bare-die and power-module solutions for IGBT-based traction inverters, automotive and industrial IPMs, IPMs for AI data centers, and discrete IGBT products.
What you'll do
- Investigate application trends and market needs to translate insights into new product definitions, solution concepts, and product-line roadmaps.
- Visit customers regularly to gather requirements, answer technical and commercial inquiries, collect feedback, and present product proposals.
- Develop product concepts and target specifications incorporating input from customers along with system, applications, development, electrical, and packaging engineering teams.
- Initiate new product development projects, own business cases, justify investments, establish milestones, and lead change management through product launch.
- Provide training, presentations, sales guidance, and promotional materials to sales and field applications engineers.
- Serve as the primary technical and commercial interface across internal development teams, sales, and field applications engineering while assessing product-line revenue and profitability.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Technical understanding of power semiconductors, especially IGBTs and SiC MOSFETs, power semiconductor packages, and power applications such as motor drives and power conversion.
- Demonstrated ability to develop business cases and apply commercial principles.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electronic or electrical engineering.
- Experience with products for the power electronics industry.
