About the role
This position involves planning and implementing procurement activities for materials, parts, components, and equipment, while directing buyers and expediters.
What you'll do
- Plan and implement activities related to the procurement of materials, parts, components, and equipment.
- Direct the activities of buyers and expediters.
- Review and approve purchases up to a specified dollar amount.
- Negotiate major contracts involving large dollar amounts.
- Develop policies and procedures for procurement activities.
- Monitor the cost, schedule, and performance aspects of major subcontracts.
- Coordinate purchasing activities with engineering and manufacturing departments to maintain inventories.
- Select, develop, and evaluate personnel for efficient operation of the function.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree.
- English Skills.
- 5+ years of related experience.
Nice to have
- CPIM certification.
- APICS certification.
