$135,900 - $295,000 USD yearly
About the role
This role drives the architecture, design, and validation of analog power management ICs within the Skyworks Power Management division. The work supports product lines covering power loss protection, PMICs, motor control, and battery management solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead the design and development of analog power management ICs, focusing on efficiency, power density, and reliability.
- Collaborate with system engineers to establish product architecture, specifications, and circuit topologies for yield and manufacturability.
- Perform transistor-level design, simulation, and validation against functional and performance targets.
- Partner with layout engineers to optimize floor planning, manage parasitics, and maximize silicon performance.
- Work with test and characterization engineers to define validation methodologies, debug silicon, and refine production test strategies.
- Lead technical reviews and document design trade-offs, architecture choices, and simulation analyses.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 15+ years of engineering experience (or equivalent education and experience) in the semiconductor industry.
- 8+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design focusing on DC-DC power converter architectures and control methodologies such as voltage mode control and current mode control.
- Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools and flows, including EMIR tools, capacitive coupling tools, and parasitic extraction tools.
- Demonstrated track record of production releases for power management ICs.
Nice to have
- Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso, SIMPLIS, and ADS.
- Hands-on lab experience supporting high-frequency switching power supplies.
Skills: PMIC, DC-DC, transistor-level design, voltage mode control, EDA

How we counted: 105 open Analog IC Design (Power Management) roles from 12 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 8 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Analog & Mixed-Signal family row.
