This role focuses on high-speed communications chips for automotive applications.
About the role
This role involves architecting, specifying, and implementing high-speed analog blocks for automotive Ethernet and automotive SerDes. The team develops low-power high speed mixed-signal ICs for automotive Ethernet and automotive SerDes.
What you'll do
- Participate in feasibility studies and architecture definitions of new products.
- Generate detailed specifications, architect, circuit design, and verification plans for high-speed Class-AB Line driver, high-speed Receiver chain (PGA, Filters, hybrid), or high-speed PLL.
- Develop MATLAB & Verilog A models of analog blocks.
- Integrate analog blocks into complex mixed-signals System-on-Chip (SoC) designs.
- Perform top-level Mixed-Signal simulations.
- Conduct silicon evaluation and characterization of designed blocks.
What you'll need
- 6-15+ years of IC design work experience with a BSEE, MSEE or Ph.D.
- Extensive experience in high speed and high performance Class-AB Line driver, high-speed Receiver chain, or high-speed PLL design with at least one tape out and silicon success.
- Good knowledge of low noise design techniques.
- Good knowledge of high precision techniques in presence of device mismatch.
- Experience in C/MATLAB/Verilog A modeling.
- Understand device physics and apply that to optimize noise, power, area, and performance.
- Good working experience in using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc. to validate analog designs.
- Experience in working with production test engineers to firm up test plans and design for testability details.
- Experience with IP integration and Mixed-Signal IC verification.
Skills: high-speed analog IC, Class-AB Line driver, Receiver chain, PLL design, Verilog A modeling, silicon validation

How we counted: 296 open Analog IC Design (Analog Design) roles from 50 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 8 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Analog & Mixed-Signal family row.
