About the role
What you'll do
- Define, plan, and drive projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance.
- Scope technical feasibility of new projects by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW/HW Architects, Technical Leads, and Engineers.
- Develop program schedules by considering various Driver, SW Stack components and HW/FW dependencies, and create staffing plans.
- Establish formal program management artifacts including a plan of record, statements of work, project/program timelines, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs.
- Plan for risks in the development path, identify prevention methods, and address them.
- Address the needs and requirements from AMD's Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Engineering organizations.
What you'll need
- Solid knowledge of technical program management.
- Outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated software/hardware programs.
- Strong customer engagement skills.
- Technical understanding of SoC architectures, CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, AI accelerators, embedded platforms, and software enablement processes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, AI, Robotics, or a related technical discipline.
- Formal Project Management education or PMP certification.
Nice to have
- Experience managing complex customer programs in Robotics, Industrial Automation, Embedded AI, Automotive, or related technology industries.
- Proven track record leading customer engagements involving hardware, software, AI, and system integration projects from concept through production deployment.
- Strong understanding of robotics software ecosystems including ROS/ROS2, AI/ML/VLA frameworks, perception systems, simulation environments, motion control, and edge computing architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to drive multiple strategic customer projects simultaneously.
- Experience managing executive stakeholder relationships and influencing decision-making.
- Experience leading customer escalations, issue resolution teams, root-cause investigations, and cross-functional recovery plans.
- Proven ability to leverage AI-driven automation and project management tools.
