About the role
The Solutions Development Director establishes and leads the Datacenter Module Solutions development team in Pune, overseeing module solution development, integration, and validation. The role drives end-to-end productization of datacenter modules, including BMC SOM, Retrofit M.2 modules, and MCM-based solutions combining FPGA and MCU/ASIC technologies.
What you'll do
- Establish and lead the Datacenter Module Solutions development team, spanning module development, integration, and validation.
- Own end-to-end productization of datacenter module-based solutions—including BMC SOM, Retrofit M.2 modules, and RMC V2 DC-SCM modules—from concept through release to production.
- Drive development of MCM-based (FPGA+MCU/ASIC) datacenter solutions, aligning architecture, hardware, firmware, and validation across the solution stack.
- Define the technical strategy and roadmap for datacenter module solutions covering modern server system architecture, platform management, DC-SCM/DC-MHS modularity, high-speed interconnects, and platform security / root of trust.
- Establish collaboration with hardware teams, firmware teams (such as AMI), QA, and proof-of-concept teams to deliver integrated and validated solutions.
- Build and enforce development, integration, and validation processes, including architecture reviews, test plans, and quality gates.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 12+ years of engineering and solutions development experience, including at least 5 years leading and building engineering or solutions teams at the manager or director level.
- Deep knowledge of modern server system architecture, compute platforms, baseboard/platform management (BMC), DC-SCM/DC-MHS modular standards, high-speed interconnects, and platform security / root of trust.
- Hands-on knowledge of productizing datacenter modules across development, hardware/firmware/software integration, and validation through volume production.
- Familiarity with datacenter module form factors including BMC SOM, M.2 modules, DC-SCM, and MCM-based solutions.
- Experience with product and program development tools (such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project) and methodologies including Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
Nice to have
- Knowledge or working experience on Lattice FPGA devices.
- Experience in the semiconductor, electronics, server, or datacenter hardware industry.
- An advanced degree in engineering or computer science.

How we counted: 100 open Hardware Systems Engineering (SOC Architecture) roles from 27 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 29 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Software, Firmware & Systems family row.
