About the role
In MACOM's MMIC Business Unit, this role handles schematic entry, layout, and release of printed circuit boards supporting RF, Microwave, and Millimeter-Wave products. The work focuses on MMICs and Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs) across aerospace, defense, space, and commercial applications.
What you'll do
- Own schematic entry, layout, and release of printed circuit boards to support RF, Microwave, and Millimeter-Wave products. - Create 2D and 3D modeling of printed circuit boards using Altium and AutoCAD, including generating and modifying existing drawings and assemblies. - Develop schematics synchronized with bills of materials (BOMs) and physical layouts. - Generate manufacturing drawings and documentation, and update design rules as required. - Lead peer reviews of design and layout concepts and strategies. - Coordinate with project management to track project plans and schedules.
What you'll need
- High school diploma or GED with 9+ years of work experience, or a B.S. in engineering with 5+ years of experience. - Experience with CAD platforms such as Altium, PADS, Xpedition, Eagle, KiCAD, LibreCAD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Fusion360, or SolidWorks. - Knowledge of drafting standards and best practices. - Understanding of basic digital and analog electronic circuits. - Experience taking electrical measurements using a multimeter, including voltage, current, resistance, and continuity. - U.S. citizenship, national status, or permanent residency to comply with ITAR regulations.
