About the role
KLA is seeking a Software Intern to design and develop software solutions for semiconductor equipment and machine-control applications. Working within the e-Beam division, you will develop applications and automation interfaces that interact directly with hardware and system components.
What you'll do
- Design and develop software solutions for semiconductor equipment and machine-control applications, collaborating closely with hardware and system components.
- Develop applications and automation workflows using C#, C++, and Python.
- Apply AI and agentic AI techniques to automate engineering tasks such as system monitoring, diagnostics, log analysis, issue triage, and recovery.
- Design modular software components and contribute to software architecture, implementation, testing, and validation.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or current enrollment), with 1 year of related experience.
- Strong grounding in object-oriented fundamentals, design patterns, and languages such as C#, Java, or C++.
- Hands-on experience with Test Driven development and unit testing across analysis, design, and development phases.
- Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Exposure to software development tools including Git, IDEs, and debugging tools.
