About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a technical lead to architect a platform that enables engineers to assess the performance of AI workloads running across distributed computing nodes. The platform collects performance data at data center scale, maintains it as searchable history, and enables engineers and automated analysis agents to identify and diagnose performance issues.
What you'll do
- Define the end-to-end architecture, including the data model, service and API contracts, and boundaries with data-producing tools and teams.
- Make foundational architectural decisions, document considered alternatives and reversing evidence, and align decisions with partner team roadmaps.
- Implement early-phase services, APIs, and deployment paths hands-on prior to full team staffing.
- Define how automated analysis agents operate within the platform, specifying supported queries, evidence relationships, cost limits, and latency constraints.
- Review performance diagnoses, drive initial use cases with design partners, mentor engineers, and establish team engineering standards.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 15+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership of a shipped, data-intensive platform used by other teams.
- Experience developing or managing systems where automated agents or models process high volumes of production data, including quality assessment methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of GPU and machine learning workload performance analysis.
- Demonstrated track record of designing evolving APIs and data models without breaking existing users or deployments.
- Hands-on ability to build, deploy, test, and measure services and tooling directly.
- Proficiency with C++, Go, and Python.
Skills: performance data platform, data center scale, GPU, C++, Python, Go

How we counted: 1010 open Infrastructure/Platform Software (Infrastructure Platform) roles from 90 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 30 Oct 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Software, Firmware & Systems family row.
