About the role
As part of the Silicon Technologies group, you will develop bare metal system-level software to validate Apple Silicon and uncover corner-case hardware bugs. The role involves running stress workloads across SoC blocks, power states, and complex algorithms in post-silicon and pre-silicon environments.
What you'll do
- Write SoC and CPU directed and random tests to find corner-case hardware bugs. - Debug issues across pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. - Develop and maintain the bare metal system-level SW platform. - Lead SW development and execution plans for SoC projects. - Work with designers and architects to accomplish validation goals. - Engage with other teams to develop validation strategies based on product needs.
What you'll need
- BS in EE or CS with 10+ years of experience. - Hands-on embedded programming experience.
Nice to have
- SoC and CPU knowledge, including micro-architecture, memory hierarchy, interrupt and DMA, clock and power gating, and system-level architecture. - Experience with SoC bringup. - Proficiency as a C/C++ and Assembly language programmer. - Knowledge of hardware and software debug tools and methods. - Experience using scopes.
