About the role
AMD is seeking a Software Development Engineer to improve the performance of key applications and benchmarks.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with architecture specialists to improve future products using a data-minded approach to target optimization efforts.
- Stay informed of software and hardware trends, especially pertaining to algorithms and architecture.
- Design and develop software technologies and participate in new ASIC and hardware bring ups.
- Debug and fix existing issues while researching alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish tasks.
- Develop technical relationships with cross-functional engineering peers and partners.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Background in object-oriented programming.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in C/C++.
- Experience with modern concurrent programming and threading APIs.
