Full Stack Engineer - Cloud & On Premise

About the role
The Full Stack Engineer maintains and enhances cloud-based applications deployed on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and applications running on customer and on-premises environments.
What you'll do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Deploy and manage applications on AWS EKS to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Integrate with data sources including MongoDB and Postgres for storage and retrieval.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment workflows.
- Deploy Syntiant software onto customer compute systems and networks, including private cloud environments.
- Maintain on-premises servers running Ceph, PostgreSQL, and NFS services.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python with experience in API development.
- Hands-on experience with AWS EKS, including deploying, scaling, and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure services including S3, RDS, and VPCs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD or Jenkins.
- Understanding of database systems, including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Experience with on-premises storage solutions like Ceph and NFS, alongside Linux system administration expertise.
- Eligibility for U.S. security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Nice to have
- Active U.S. security clearance.
- Experience with cloud-native observability tools including Prometheus and Grafana.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes operators and Helm charts.
- Knowledge of container orchestration on-premises using Kubernetes or similar technologies.
- Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
