About the role
AMD is hiring a Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor device manufacturing. The role involves definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development and microprocessor products.
What you'll do
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, including defining module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Debug and execute verification tests, and analyze simulations.
- Evaluate process flows from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use.
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of integrated circuits.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience performing hardware verification and functional verification of microprocessors.
- Experience with C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
- Experience with CAD tools and ASIC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis).
- Experience with Unix and Linux environments, and SoC, GPU, or CPU architecture.
