About the role
AMD is hiring a Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role involves definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development across architecture design, logic design, and system simulation.
What you'll do
- Perform definition, design, verification, and documentation for ASIC development.
- Determine architecture design, logic design, and system simulation, including defining module interfaces and formats for simulation.
- Contribute to the development of multidimensional designs involving the layout of integrated circuits.
- Evaluate the process flow from high-level designs to synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use.
- Apply engineering principles, best practices, and design techniques to the development and testing of AMD products.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- One (1) year of experience in the job offered or a closely related engineering role (may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship).
- Experience performing hardware verification.
- Experience with C, C++, or Python.
- Experience with Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
- Experience with RTL design and coding.
- Experience with CPU, GPU, or SoC architecture.
- Experience in Linux or Unix environments, and developing automates tests for validation.
