NVIDIA is seeking a Senior System Software Engineer, Automotive Performance to optimize system software across automotive platforms. The role focuses on boot and runtime performance across Safe RTOS, hypervisors, and Tegra platforms.
What you'll do
- Optimize system software for NVIDIA automotive performance platforms utilizing Safe RTOS. - Collaborate with Hardware Architecture, DriveOS, Power, and Test teams to track boot and runtime performance benchmarks. - Monitor micro benchmarks and industry-standard benchmarks across IPs to ensure software and hardware meet projected targets. - Develop features in automotive profiling tools with AI assistance. - Benchmark hypervisors and ensure the lowest overhead on ARM systems. - Collaborate with the ADAS/AV team to optimize the stack on Tegra platforms.
What you'll need
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of experience in systems or software performance. - C/C++ programming abilities alongside previous experience in the automotive sector. - Proficiency in Linux and QNX. - Understanding of benchmarking, boot time optimization, compiler optimizations, and runtime performance improvements. - Knowledge of hypervisors, virtualization, and overhead analysis. - Experience working with profiling utilities to improve system software efficiency.
