About the role
This role involves providing application engineering support for digital products (MCUs & SoCs) within automotive applications.
What you'll do
- Drive design-in activities for the product portfolio in automotive applications such as IVI, ADAS, xEV, Vehicle Controls.
- Act as a technical interface and consult customers during the development of automotive applications.
- Derive customer system requirements and market trends to develop system value propositions.
- Manage projects with Sales and Marketing to achieve design-in targets for the automotive product portfolio.
- Establish and maintain relationships with customer engineering departments.
- Lead technical discussions with System Architects and Application Engineering experts to define application roadmaps and product technical requirements.
What you'll need
- Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar field of studies.
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience, with 3+ years in automotive applications.
- Understanding of automotive system technical requirements.
- Profound knowledge about semiconductors including SoC, MCU, Analog & Power products.
- Experience with OS / Frameworks (Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR, RTOS).
- Proficient in multi-threaded programming and middleware solution development in different OS environments.
- Working knowledge on Automotive Functional Safety and Cybersecurity concepts.
- Proficient in Power and Thermal management at system level.
- Experience in Vehicle Architecture / Networks design.
- Hands-on system bring-up, testing, and debugging skills.
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other standard lab equipment.
Nice to have
- Working experience as Field or Application Engineer for Microcontroller and SoCs.
