About the role
The Senior Staff Device Characterization Engineer oversees and maintains laboratory test equipment while performing measurements on wafer-level and packaged semiconductor devices.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain HP4062/4073 testers with EG2080, EG4090, and TEL Precio XL probers using custom RMB code, alongside Agilent B1500 and HP8753 setups.
- Perform wafer-level and package measurements, including process and device characterization testing, EPROM testing, device raw I-V curves, HCI, and HTRB reliability testing.
- Conduct transient manual measurements including Gate charge and Reverse recovery, as well as S-Parameter measurements using HP8753D with manual probe stations and IC-CAP software.
- Develop software required by the device development and modeling teams, and collaborate to debug test chip programs.
- Upgrade laboratory hardware and software systems as device testing requirements evolve.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor device characterization.
- Proficiency with electronic lab equipment, including automated probers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, and S-parameter systems.
- Familiarity with HP RMB or SPECS, as well as Unix systems.
- Experience in semiconductor layout using tools like Cadence Virtuoso.
- Knowledge of underlying device physics of tested devices.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Splus/R, Python, MatLab, or JMP.
