Develop and qualify Epi and CVD processes for LBC11 technology flows at SMFAB.
About the role
This role owns the development, integration, and qualification of epitaxy (Epi) processes for LBC11 technology flows, supporting the transition from development to high-volume manufacturing at SMFAB.
What you'll do
- Drive CVD and Epi process and device improvements through characterization, test, design of experiments, data analysis, and simulation.
- Evaluate CVD dielectric film characteristics and analyze interactions with downstream processes.
- Collaborate with process, integration, reliability, packaging, and test engineers to meet process targets.
- Work with product groups to optimize process performance and achieve critical final device parameters.
- Partner with equipment vendors to implement improvements in wafers per hour (PPH), cycle time, process stability, and equipment/process uptime.
What you'll need
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication for advanced nodes.
- 3+ years of experience in Epi or CVD processing on AMAT, Novellus, or ASM platforms.
Nice to have
- Experience developing new Epi and/or CVD processes from the ground up.
- Experience with high stress films and stress corrections.
- Inline-to-end-of-line signal correlation and process characterization skills.

How we counted: 67 open Process Engineering (Deposition Process) roles from 23 employers tracked in the SemiconductorJobs index, counted 3 Nov 2026. Specialty figures count only roles carrying this exact specialty label, so an employer's related work in neighbouring specialties is not included there — it is counted in the wider Process, Fab & Equipment family row.
