About the role
The Senior Staff Device Characterization Engineer oversees laboratory test equipment and executes wafer-level and package-level characterization for semiconductor device development and modeling teams.
What you'll do
- Operate and maintain automated test systems, including HP4062/4073 testers with EG2080, EG4090, and TEL Precio XL probers using custom RMB code.
- Perform wafer-level and package-part measurements, covering process and device characterization, EPROM testing, device raw I-V curves, and reliability tests including HCI and HTRB.
- Execute transient manual measurements such as gate charge and reverse recovery.
- Perform S-parameter measurements using HP8753/HP8753D with Cascade full-temperature probers, manual probe stations, and HP IC-CAP software.
- Manage Agilent B1500 parameter analyzers on manual probe stations and debug test chip programs with team members.
- Develop software routines and upgrade lab hardware and software infrastructure to meet evolving testing and modeling needs.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor device characterization.
- Familiarity with HP RMB or SPECS, along with experience using Unix systems.
- Proficiency with electronic lab equipment, including automated probers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, and S-parameter systems.
- Experience in semiconductor layout using tools like Cadence Virtuoso.
- Knowledge of the underlying device physics of tested devices.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Splus/R, Python, MatLab, or JMP.
