About the role
This role provides technical leadership for Renesas' global engineering compute and CAD infrastructure, spanning Linux compute environments, engineering workspaces, project provisioning, LSF integration, EDA license infrastructure, and Perforce infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve the engineering project and workspace architecture, developing automated mechanisms for workspace creation, initialization, and configuration. - Provide technical leadership for global EDA compute, LSF batch processing, and FlexNet-based licensing server infrastructure. - Develop automation in Python and shell for configuration generation, provisioning, monitoring, and administration across CAD infrastructure. - Partner with IT/IS teams on compute, storage, networking, and server requirements while establishing capacity planning and monitoring metrics. - Support engineering Perforce infrastructure, including architecture, operations, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting. - Maintain architecture and operational documentation, establishing failover strategies, recovery procedures, and escalation support.
What you'll need
- Significant experience in EDA/CAD infrastructure engineering within semiconductor development environments. - Strong Linux/Unix expertise alongside compute, storage, and networking knowledge tailored for EDA workloads. - Scripting and automation proficiency using Python and shell. - Direct experience with LSF or comparable distributed compute environments. - Experience with enterprise version-control and data-management systems such as Perforce Helix and IPLM. - Experience with EDA licensing and FlexNet-based licensing infrastructure. - Demonstrated experience developing production-quality engineering automation and managing project workspaces.
