About the role
This role provides technical leadership for global engineering compute and CAD infrastructure supporting semiconductor development. The scope spans Linux compute environments, engineering workspaces, LSF integration, EDA license systems, Perforce infrastructure, and automation.
What you'll do
- Own and evolve engineering project and workspace architectures, including initialization mechanisms and interfaces between project configuration, PDKs, and EDA tools. - Provide technical leadership for global EDA compute, batch compute integration with LSF, and FlexNet-based license server infrastructure. - Develop Python and shell automation for configuration generation, provisioning, administration, and Jenkins/CI integration. - Partner with IT/IS teams on compute, storage, networking, and server lifecycle requirements to establish scalable Linux environments. - Build dashboards and metrics to monitor compute and license utilization, identify reliability risks, and support capacity planning. - Support Perforce Helix infrastructure operations, backup strategies, troubleshooting, and engineering workspace workflows.
What you'll need
- Significant experience in EDA/CAD infrastructure engineering within semiconductor development. - Strong Linux/Unix expertise alongside production-quality scripting skills in Python and shell. - Direct experience with LSF or comparable distributed compute environments. - Experience with enterprise version-control and data-management systems such as Perforce Helix and IPLM. - Experience managing engineering projects, workspaces, and FlexNet-based EDA licensing environments. - Understanding of compute, storage, and network requirements for EDA workloads.
