About the role
This role provides financial decision support for assigned manufacturing plants and acts as a business partner to Plant Management in the Materials Solutions (MS) Division.
What you'll do
- Analyze, understand, and interpret financial results to provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Support monthly and annual forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Ensure plant financial forecasts and budgets align with Operational, MS Division, and Corporate goals.
- Support the establishment of standard costing rates and partner with Operations to update material cost, BOM, and routings for cost roll.
- Review and explain manufacturing variances.
- Complete month-end close tasks to ensure financial statements conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), including inventory valuations.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 3-5 years experience.
- Financial modeling and analysis experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and internal control concepts.
- Proficient SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to summarize and clearly communicate financial analysis to non-financial business partners.
Nice to have
- Cost accounting knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Business Objects and/or SAP BPC.
- Demonstrated understanding of continuous improvement through identification, vetting, and tracking of improvement projects.
