About the role
Design and extend software for a large test system that incorporates many levels of software. This role develops operating software for capital equipment, factory information systems, and application software.
What you'll do
- Design operating software for capital equipment, factory information systems, and application software. - Collaborate with engineers from other disciplines in diagnosing and solving complex system problems. - Collaborate with a larger design team around the world. - Undertake moderate travel both within the US and to southeast Asia.
What you'll need
- Minimum 10 years of software development experience programming in C++, C#, Python, or similar languages. - Solid experience developing distributed and multi-threaded applications. - Solid understanding of object-oriented design. - General knowledge of robotic systems and controls, 6-degree-of-freedom robot arm control, and working with multiple different robotic solution APIs. - Experience with safety field design, including safety-rated sensors, light curtains, e-stop circuits, and relevant safety standards (such as ISO 10218, ANSI/RIA R15.06). - Experience with sequencing and process control logic. - Ability to work with AI-based code generators.
Nice to have
- Experience with Machine Vision. - Knowledge of kinematics and control theory. - Background in semiconductors and/or test equipment industry. - Experience in WPF, capital equipment, factory integration, TCP/IP, or database programming.
