Design high-speed data converters and SerDes PHYs for integration into system-on-chip (SoC) products.
About the role
This role involves leading the design and development of high-speed data converters, defining their specifications and architecture, and driving their execution from concept to production release. You will work on innovative technologies including RF DACs, ADCs, and SerDes PHYs developed in FinFET process technologies for integration into system-on-chip (SoC) products.
What you'll do
- Architect data converter solutions for multi-GHz sample rate and bandwidth applications.
- Develop and implement calibration algorithms for digitally-assisted analog circuits.
- Design challenging transistor-level circuits.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers across multiple sites and teams.
- Prepare effective design documents and conduct design reviews.
- Guide layout, evaluation, and test engineering teams.
- Mentor other design engineers.
What you'll need
- M.S. or beyond in Electrical Engineering.
- 20+ years’ experience in CMOS design.
- Technical expertise in high-speed data converter design, with architectures such as pipeline ADC, SAR ADC, or current-steering DAC.
- Intimate understanding of time-interleaved data converters.
- Experience designing circuits such as wide bandwidth amplifiers and comparators, switched capacitor circuits, precision voltage and current references, LDOs.
- Experience in Cadence schematic capture and SPICE simulation tools.
Nice to have
- Signal processing knowledge, particularly as it relates to calibration algorithms.
- Experience with MATLAB as a behavioral modeling tool.
