About the role
NVIDIA's Hardware Infrastructure team is seeking a senior software engineer to deliver highly available platform services and performant web applications. These tools integrate with data storage systems, data streaming technologies, and data visualization frameworks to support data processing workflows across engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and test performant frontend web applications and scalable backend web services with coherent interfaces for engineers and AI agents.
- Gather requirements and provide consultation to internal customers, including chip designers, build farm teams, and infrastructure teams.
- Maintain services and tools emphasizing reliability, stability, quality of service, and deployment throughput.
- Mentor colleagues to help solve difficult technical problems through code reviews and pairing sessions.
- Influence and establish guidelines around adopting agentic development to improve the software development lifecycle.
What you'll need
- 8+ years of experience delivering reliable and scalable web services and web applications.
- Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Expert knowledge of TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem.
- In-depth understanding of at least one network systems level programming language such as Go, Java, C++, or Rust.
- Experience with design and development of distributed web services, modular software design, data structures, and algorithms.
- In-depth understanding of concurrency, locking, and multi-threading.
- Familiarity with Linux fundamentals, including systemd administration and debugging.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases, and unstructured non-relational databases.
