About the role
This role involves designing and optimizing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) primarily for Applications, Validation, Reliability, and ATE requirements.
What you'll do
- Design complex, multi-layer, high-density interconnect PCBs from schematic capture through manufacturing release.
- Translate schematics, system requirements, and signal-integrity constraints into manufacturable board layouts.
- Drive high-speed design practices, including impedance-controlled routing, differential pair tuning, length matching, and power-integrity optimization.
- Collaborate with IC design, packaging, hardware, and mechanical teams for seamless integration.
- Adhere to DFM, DFF, DFT, resolve manufacturability issues, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee the generation of fabrication and assembly documentation.
What you'll need
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent and demonstrable experience in the PCB layout field.
- 5+ years’ experience with industry-standard ECAD tools, such as Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, or Siemens/Mentor Graphics.
- Thorough understanding of mix-signal, HDI, complex via stack-ups, and WLCSP design principles.
- In-depth knowledge of IPC standards and design for manufacturing (DFM) guidelines.
- Ability to conduct design reviews and provide guidance to junior designers.
- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of ATE (HIBs, PIBs, Probe Cards) and semiconductor reliability stress (HAST/HTOL) hardware.
- Experience and understanding of AI tools.
- CID and CID+ certification.
