About the role
NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Networking Software Architect in Santa Clara to integrate NICs, GPUs, and network management into platform architectures for AI and data-center infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Define and take responsibility for platform architecture covering NICs and network management for computing clusters and data centers.
- Drive platform solutions addressing AI training/inference and cloud-native workloads.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with GPU, NIC, DPU, and network management groups to ensure hardware-software co-design.
- Define platform-level software stacks, APIs, and management frameworks that orchestrate networking, compute, and acceleration resources.
- Conduct research into network technologies, GPU-networking convergence, and large-scale cluster management.
- Collaborate with hardware platform architects to define and communicate software requirements for future hardware platform builds.
What you'll need
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in systems/platform architecture, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role.
- Strong knowledge of NIC/DPU architectures, GPU computing, and managing networks on a large scale.
- Demonstrated experience in outlining and providing complex, multi-component platform solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to drive alignment across hardware, software, and product teams.
