About the role
This role involves leading a team to oversee the entire VLSI design lifecycle for IO Design (LVCMOS, HVCMOS, DDR, LVDS).
What you'll do
- Lead a team of IO Design Engineers.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Evaluate and recommend EDA tools and design automation solutions.
- Perform power analysis and optimization.
- Communicate technical progress and strategic recommendations to senior management.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Electronics & Telecommunication/Electrical engineering (VLSI Design).
- 15+ years of hands-on design experience in IO Design (LVCMOS, HVCMOS, DDR, LVDS).
- Expertise in ESD, Power bus, Floor plan, and Layout guidelines.
- Expertise in advanced DDR algorithms: Training modes and DFE/CTLE/Compensation Techniques, Clock skew techniques.
- Management and lead experience handling a team of IO engineers.
- Experience with spice tools: finesim, hspice.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of leading a high performance team.
- NAND Flash Design knowledge.
- Expertise with package/board/Power integrity/signal integrity constraints.
- Background in AI/ML chip design or emerging semiconductor technologies.
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and product engineering.
