About the role
This role is responsible for leading Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) operations across NVIDIA's EMEA offices.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary onsite EHS representative for the Munich campus, overseeing EMEA locations including Germany, Switzerland, the UK, France, the Nordics, and Poland.
- Lead EHS compliance reviews across EMEA sites, documenting findings, driving corrective actions, and ensuring alignment with local regulations and global NVIDIA EHS standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS management systems, including procedures, training programs, inspections, chemical management, and corrective action tracking.
- Monitor German and EMEA regulatory requirements, supporting risk assessments, permit management, recordkeeping, and regulatory inspections.
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, conducting root-cause analyses and following through on corrective actions.
- Provide dedicated EHS support to Munich's automotive team and Zurich's robotics operations, including risk assessments, human–robot interaction safeguards, and fleet safety procedures.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, Environmental/Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8-10 years of progressive EHS experience in high-tech, R&D, automotive, robotics, semiconductor, manufacturing, or similar environments.
- Familiarity with European and German EHS regulations and procedures, including risk assessments, workplace safety, and lab safety.
- Experience supporting EHS programs in labs or technical environments.
- Practical experience with EHS management frameworks, covering procedures, training, and corrective action tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently as an individual contributor, manage several priorities, and anticipate and address EHS risks.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- German language skills.
- Experience in multinational EMEA organizations coordinating EHS across multiple jurisdictions and cultures.
- Experience in automotive EHS and/or robotics safety, encompassing risk assessments for human–robot interaction.
- Experience crafting and delivering EHS training, including e-learning, adapted to different legal frameworks and audiences in EMEA.
- Knowledge of sustainability and ESG subjects including waste reduction, resource efficiency, and emissions, along with experience assisting with related EHS data or initiatives.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, German Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit, CSP, CIH, or equivalent regional credentials).
