Senior Engineer, Software Quality Assurance

About the role
The Software Engineering team delivers software that controls semiconductor processing equipment hardware, including robotics, gas valves, and temperature controllers.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, document, and improve software test suites. - Perform manual and automated testing of software in simulation and on physical semiconductor manufacturing equipment. - Automate, streamline, and maintain QA processes to integrate with CI/CD development workflows. - Create and manage test plans and test cases to validate software enhancements and defect fixes. - Execute and analyze functionality compared to intended outcomes, providing feedback on design quality, effectiveness, and performance. - Collaborate with Process Engineering to test system operations across mechanical, electrical, and software functionality.
What you'll need
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - 5+ years of experience in software development, software testing, or test automation. - Proficiency in at least one programming language, test case management, or issue tracking software. - Hands-on experience in System Quality Assurance or System Quality Engineering as a Quality Engineer or Software Developer in Test for complex electromechanical equipment with integrated software controls. - Ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python, C++, or C#. - Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, TestComplete, or TestRail. - Experience with semiconductor equipment. - Experience configuring software applications, managing software versioning, or handling configuration management responsibilities. - Experience with CI/CD pipeline creation, execution, and maintenance.
